Two smiling women who lead a grief support group

Navigating Grief

with Art and Conversation

Facilitated by: Krystl Michalek, Artist, Pastor, Teacher & Julie James, LPC-S

It’s that time again!!

Back by popular demand, this 8-week grief support group is scheduled for fall. This is a small, intimate group that helps support those struggling with grief of all forms. This world is very heavy right now and many of us are finding it difficult to ride the waves of emotion it causes so this group is coming at a good time.

This group incorporates mindfulness, expressive arts, and group processing to help manage the hard. Each week we focus on a different aspect of grief to help participants take away aloneness and increase awareness of the journey using tools to help ride the waves of grief instead of drown in them.

WHEN: Tuesday Evenings, 6:30-8:30 p.m., September 9- October 28

WHERE: Pflugerville United Methodist Church- 500 E Pecan Street Pflugerville, Texas (the group is not affiliated with the church)

COST: $420.00, due at registration- Ask about payment plans if needed

HOW: Click the button and fill out the short form and Julie will be in touch!

Grief Support Group

This seasonal art-based group welcomes participants navigating any kind of grief—recent or long-held, named or unnamed. Through gentle community, creativity, and therapist-led reflection, we honor the way grief lives in both body and story. No art experience required!

This group keeps coming back by popular request because participants tell us the space we build together feels helpful and hopeful.

Facilitated by Julie and her friend and colleague, an art therapist. Typically runs once in the Fall and Spring over the course of 8 weeks.
