A Bit About Me

I have been a therapist for 20+ years, and am the general manager, co-owner and co-founder of Pflugerville Counseling Center, PLLC. While my focus, interests, and ways of working continue to grow and evolve, the underlying threads have only grown into a more solid foundation: we humans are messy, beautiful, and complicated - and we are at our core valuable and lovable.

My passion for this work is rooted in my belief that authentic, vulnerable connection changes us - changes our stories. Many times what brings us to counseling is recognizing that we want a new story and don’t know how to get there.

As a bit of a brain nerd, I was deeply moved to learn that relational connection doesn’t just impact our emotions- it actually reshapes our brain and body. That realization felt incredibly hopeful.

About My Work

The State of Texas has licensed me as a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor. I am additionally licensed as a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and certified EMDR therapist.

I have completed extensive training in various areas that support my therapy practice. These experiences continually deepen my understanding of how our brains, bodies, nervous systems, and relationships are interconnected. They also help me better understand how our experiences—including trauma and relational connections—shape who we are.

Who I Work With

I work with individuals, couples, parents, families, children ages 5 and up, teens, adults, and fellow therapists or healing practitioners. I have a particular interest in working with folks navigating complex developmental trauma, spiritual or religious harm, understanding neurodiversity, and parenting while healing themselves.I really love working with other therapists- doing my own therapy throughout my career has been vital in making this work not only sustainable but full of growth and joy for the

long-term. I am a supervisor for LPC/LMFT Associates and those seeking their RPT. I provide training and workshops for therapists, educators, and community members as well as offering an intensive format for EMDR therapy.  Whether teaching, supervising, or in the therapy room, I come with a commitment to relational ethics, cultural humility, ongoing self-reflection and consultation with peers and mentors.

A Note From Me

“As both a therapist and business owner, I am committed to understanding and addressing my own biases, while striving to create a practice that values and celebrates diversity—whether it’s race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, body size/type, religion, abilities, or neurodivergence. I’m welcoming and affirming of all LGBTQIA+ individuals, and especially passionate about working with those who have been hurt or excluded by faith traditions. I come from a Christian background and my faith remains an important part of my life. I love working with those who are exploring, questioning, or healing from their own spiritual journey- particularly those who have experienced spiritual trauma or exclusion.”
